Children are Learning (CaL) Outreach Worker

Are you passionate about walking alongside Aboriginal children, young people and their families, supporting school attendance and helping create stronger educational outcomes?

This is a relationship-based role where you’ll work alongside families, schools and other service providers to identify barriers to attendance, develop practical solutions and support children to engage in learning. Grounded in trust, culture and community, this role makes a real difference in the lives of local families.

This is a full-time position Monday to Friday 7:30am-3:30pm based in Kununurra, classified at SCHADS Award Level 3.1.

Applicants must have or be willing to obtain:

• A Working with Children Check
• A National Police Clearance
• A current driver’s licence
• WA Education Clearance

We’re looking for someone with Aboriginal families and children, an understanding of the complex issues that impact school attendance and strong relationship-building and teamwork.

Sober Up Shelter Carer

Are you a caring and reliable person who would like to join the team at the Moongoong Dawang Sober Up Shelter?

Our Carers provide safe, respectful and culturally appropriate support to people affected by alcohol and other substances. The role includes supporting client wellbeing, preparing meals and refreshments, completing client records and helping maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment.

This is a casual position based in Kununurra, classified at SCHADS Award Level 2.1.

Applicants must have or be willing to obtain:

• A Working with Children Check
• A National Police Clearance
• A current driver’s licence
• A First Aid Certificate

Experience in community services, health, aged care, homelessness, alcohol and other drug services, or a similar support role would be highly regarded.
