We are proud to release the Stronger In Our Way 2025 Men’s Forum Report, reflecting the outcomes shared by the men who have been walking alongside us over the past two years. The report speaks directly to men’s own voices and lived experiences, highlighting the importance of building and sustaining opportunities to develop a strong ‘Circle of Men’ as a foundation for healing, accountability and leadership.

A strong theme throughout is the ongoing impact of trauma — often expressed through alcohol and other drug use, violence and contact with the justice system — and equally, the power of culturally grounded, peer-led support in breaking these cycles.

Creating safe spaces for yarning, reconnection to culture and Country, accountability and practical supports emerged as a key takeaway, helping men stabilise, manage triggers, rebuild relationships and begin healing in their own way. Together, these stories show how consistent connection supports reduced AOD use, improved wellbeing and growing leadership, strengthening families and community over time.
